What a difference a day makes!

Today was just a bit different from yesterday!!  A very happy day today.  I am here in rural Aberdeenshire to do two workshop at The Woolshed.  Today was Fair Isle and tomorrow will be Shetland lace.

There were 11 of us in the workshop today and everyone was there to enjoy themselves – which does make my job easier!  Some had done quite a bit of FI before, others were completely new to the game.  The room was lovely – very light and with plenty of space.  AND a kitchen next door for coffee!

FI day workshop

We covered a lot of ground over the day, including picking up stitches and steeking.  As ever, people were extraordinarily worried about cutting their knitting!  As ever, they were agreeably surprised how easy it was.

Quite a few folk are coming back to ‘do’ lace tomorrow.
